Fang Ding is dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Renaissance Research Institute of Renmin University of China; the director of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Cultural Brand Evaluation Technology of the Ministry of Culture; the director of the Art Town Committee of the Architecture and Culture Research Association of the Ministry of Culture; the deputy director of the Composite Materials and Restoration Committee of the China Artists Association; the director of the Chinese Oil Painting Society and an academician of the Ambrose Academy in Italy. He is a representative of the "85 New Wave Art" with Xiaogang Chai, Yongping Huang, Guangyi Wang, Minglu Gao, Bing Xu, Qun Shu, Xiaogang Zhang, Xuhui Mao and Cheng Zhu.
